It's not just the squicks, but the lack of any medical support. Allopathic docs have an aversion to, well, the living (except for us). They won't take any "risks" introducing living critters to people as a form of treatment.

There are exceptions, like using the maggots to clear gangrenous crap. But it's too slow.

I want a doc to say "I'll just slip this into your [whatever] and the sneezing should stop." I don't want to wallow in an African crap midden (as one dude did).
