Just So Everyone Is Clear
Nov. 29th, 2006 02:29 pmLet's say you know someone to be either an atheist or an agnostic, and decide, for some quirky reason, to end a correspondence or conversation with "God bless and keep you," or something equally out of line with the person's religious philosophy.
Before you ever do this, do these things:
Approach a muslim, and give him a jaunty "G-d bless the State of Israel and keep it forever Jewish!"
Greet the next Christian you see with a heartfelt, "I just got back from my hypnotic regression therapy to learn that 2000 years ago I was a syphilitic Roman soldier who traded some whore named Mary five sheckles for a drunken fuck nine months before she and that idiot cuckhold Joseph rode into Bethlehem! Who knew?!?"
Stroll up to a rabbi, snap that right hand and arm at a perfect 45 degrees above the horizon, and shout "Heil Hitler!"
Why? Because all of those actions represent exactly the same thing.
Just so there's no confusion.
