Any Suggestions?
Mar. 16th, 2012 08:50 pmI've been trying to make a basic You Tube video lately. Naturally, I thought I'd start with the editor that came with my Mini.
Forget it. It was written for a 12-year-old with ADHD and an unlimited supply of Jolt.
If you want to do anything simple, forget it. Any text must fly from the corners and assemble, or whiz-bang itself in some fancy fashion. Having it appear after a fade? Not an option. Make it move or fuck off, n00b user.
Want to place a low-rez pic? One cannot place it in a corner, no. It must fill the screen. The only other option is to enable "Ken Burns" and have the computer wander on the close-up (which looks terrible, of course, since it's low-rez).
Need music? I actually edited sound to go with this little movie. That's the only thing that's finished. As long as it comes from my iTunes Library, no problem. Any other location and it might as well be invisible.
Imagine if you wanted to model a simple cube-shaped frame, but the only Lego set you had had every block shape except square and/or rectangular.
Has anybody ever worked with something, I don't know, usable and preferably very cheap?
