Just like home

Raking the lawn today, right around 3:47 or so, when someone started shooting. I grew up with the random exercise of second amendment rights, so the first few rounds didn't even faze me. By the fifth, I got the realization through the skull that this was Seattle, damnit.
Some crazy five blocks away opened fire on his neighbor. I chatted with locals at the ensuing roadblock, watching busses diverted from Lake City Way at rush hour. Learned on the news later the idiot called 911 to ask what all the police fuss was about. I can imagine it: "Hey, there's all these cops surrounding my house. This is America!"
Yup, land of the crazy!
